Affirmative Action / Civil Rights Compliance
The district’s Affirmative Action/Civil Rights Compliance Officer is Dr. Michael Parent, Assistant Superintendent. Dr. Parent is responsible for overseeing the district’s compliance with state and federal laws protecting civil rights, including but not limited to, N.J.A.C. 6A:7, Managing for Equality and Equity in Educational Programs, Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (as amended), and Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 (sex/gender equity in the field of education), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
